Master Chef 2017 - Room 6

We gave the children buckets with everything they needed in them.  Just like the real Mystery Box challenges.

Then the teams were off!  Each team had to make a butter icing and then decorate three cupcakes within the time frame.

The end results were amazing!  What very clever kids!!

AND the winners are.....

CONGRATULATIONS!

We finished our very first MasterChef Competition by sitting in the sun and eating our creations!

Next was the Stuffed Potato Competition.  This was designed to give the children an inexpensive, easy to make meal to give parents a night off cooking!

The winners were: ( drum roll please!)

Best Original Potato was won by Tessa, Paton, and Lily with their Butter Chicken Curry Creation.

Best Traditional Stuffed Potato was won by Liam, Mya, and Reef.  A delicious combination of onion, cheese, bacon, sour cream, and fresh herbs.

The last Masterchef was a build your own trifle.  This idea was designed to give the kids an easy and YUMMY dessert they could make for Christmas.  What we got was JUST amazing!

Winners were:

Best original design - Hannah, Charlie, and William.  Just Beautiful, elegant, and Yummy.

Best taste and WOW factor - Angus, Anita, and Chloe.  The sparklers were awesome.

The poor judges!  Once they had got through tasting all of these creations all three felt a bit sick!! Shows us that we need to make sure we don't over indulge on Christmas Day!

Overall a wonderful example of Participation and Contribution.  The photos show everyone fully engaged and motivated by the competition.  EVERYONE in every group contributed something to each of our Master Chef cooks.  

I would like to thank all the children, the parent helpers - Emma, Amy, and Cindy.  A HUGE thank you goes to our judges.  We couldn't have had a competition without you.  To Tracey, Kerry, and Hartley - Look out for a phone call from the Master Chef Producers - You were THAT good!!
