ACE Competitions!

Fancy a competition?  The Allen Centre LOVES a challenge. Every few weeks we will be offering a competition open to all ages for the children to enter.   

WHERE IN THE WORLD IS MOLLY?

The children had to use all the clues from the treasures Molly had collected on her holiday.  Once they worked out a few vital pieces of information such as, its a very windy place,its a popular fishing spot, and its a man-made piece of water, they then used google maps to zero in on the location.  The children were quick, and very clever to work out the secret location- The Great Moss Swamp - Also known as The Loganburn Dam on the Dunstan Trail.  Well done. 

Hunter then also ran a - Where in the world is Hunter's Gold?  Well done to the boys, Angus, Will, and Finn who worked out Hunter had gathered his gold treasure in Greymouth!

The current competition that will run until March in the Allen Centre is the 'Design your dream car' offered by Toyota.   We have had a lot of interest so far, with many children using the sketching time on a Wednesday to perfect their creations.
