This is the keyring Liam made, using the laser printer.
The photos below show the boys making tags to 3D print, exploring makymaky - a programme that allows you to use all sorts of crazy things like fruit, cutlery, and play dough as a keyboard. With a simple circuit we played a piano with an apple and a banana. We even worked out how to make enote play when the boys did a high five to each other!
Last Tuesday the boys put on a demonstration for a group of children from East Taieri School.
Josh, Joe, Toby, and Liam showed the children some cool tricks you can get your robots to do, including moving by voice command. The children then got to have a go at building and programming themselves, as well as seeing how the 3D printer works. Well done boys. You did a brilliant job!
Maybe we might be getting the hang of this 3D printer after all?
