Garden Club harvesting and preparing for Winter
The warm Autumn sun was shining on the garden club harvesters today. Busy gardeners cleared out the peas from the veggie patch and collected tomatoes and zucchini by the bucket load!
At The Mechanics Shed
A penny farthing at Outram School! The Mechanics club, children has a real treat when Dennis brought in his penny Farthing for them to look at. No one was quite game to take it for a ride! Original parts of the bike were found on Clareinch Farm here in Outram. It was owned by two brothers who lived on the farm in the 1880's. Denis has painstakingly restored the bike to its current condition. So far the only person to ride this reconditioned wonder is Denis' Grandson.
Mackenzie was busy riding the wonky wheeled bike and taking tips from Peter on how to help fix up an old lawn mower!
Well done to Meg, Gabby, Rosa, and Lily for the wonderful expertise they shared with myself and the other children. You are all very clever. Below are some of the amazing creations that can be made from simply folding a piece of paper!
